A little bit about me..

So, I figure in order for people to connect with the blog, it’d be helpful to know a little bit about me. So here it goes.

I’m 24, I work 9-5 (kind of) and I live in London. Around 5 years ago I moved to lazy London from a very active Bournemouth where I’d walk EVERYWHERE if I could. In London, there is a bus stop every 2 minutes, why walk?!

Anyway, around 4-ish years ago, I started going to the gym. I’d put on a lot of weight since moving in with J, and I wasn’t happy in myself. I was a little blind though, I thought I just needed to tone up. NOPE. I needed to lose some weight. At my heaviest, I was around 147lbs. I’m now a much happier, healthier 128lbs. I enjoy workouts now, and I don’t miss the obscene amount of junk I used to eat.

So fast forward to now. I go to the gym 3-4 times per week, and I recently got in touch with a personal trainer to write me a plan. My God. Not only do my workouts have a guide now, I’ve found muscles I didn’t really know existed!

So now, I’m sticking to my plan – even when it hurts- and making myself stronger everyday! I’m atrongerlrelso learning to listen to my body.  I’m learning to understand when it’s just discomfort rather than pain, and when it’s actual pain and I need to stop!

The reason I’m on the blog, is to give a real life perspective of health and fitness. I’m someone that battles anxiety daily, who has a job that takes over a lot of time and a ridiculous biscuit addiction! I’m here to show that progress is good, no matter how small. And that you don’t have to live in the gym to look and, most importantly, feel good!

My next post will highlight why I’m past the 30 day challenges that are everywhere at the moment.

Happy Sunday!

C.
